First Adventure with Crockpot

So, we got a new crock-pot, and didn’t really know how to use it.. so, we just put a huge whack of stuff in the slow cooker, set it to 6 hours, and enjoyed our first meal.

Our Crock-pot is pretty advanced if you’ll ask me. I remember my parents old one, that had a dial with 2 settings on it only. This one has 2 settings, but also a timer, and a warmer! It was very interesting.

We threw together pork tenderloin, carrots, onions, garlic, and some beef stock. During the last 45 minutes, I threw in some green beans and zucchini and opened a can of corn. The meat came out very tender, and it absorbed the flavors of the new broth I made! I think it was a huge success. I currently have no plans or ideas of what to make next as it is a large Crock-Pot, and I would need to expect to feast out of it for at least 2 days!

Lunch from Panago

So, I was feeling rather lazy, and especially knowing that I will be cooking for myself the next few days, without the need to pack a lunch for work.  So, I figured I’ll order a pizza and eat it for the next few days.

I chose to go to Panago (26 High Street SE, 403-310-0001), as they have excellent pizza – my favorite one right now is Primo Shrimp, topped with sweet and smoky tropical sauce, wild pink shrimp, red onions, green and red peppers, pineapple and mozzarella cheese.

On top of pizza, I also had Honey Mustard Wings — quite different from your ordinary “buffalo wings” or “hot wings”.  You sure can tell it was a honey mustard flavor!

I am definitely not the only one who enjoys Panago at this location! Check out this review!

Breakfast at Tim Hortons

I love waking up to a Sesame Bagel with Herb & Garlic Cream cheese, with my medium steeped tea, double double. My husband tried this fantastic Bacon and Potato Chowder. It tasted like bacon! We both lost this time with Rrroll Up the Rim to Win. So far, I’ve won 0-5!! Terrible streak!.
