I was craving a soft cookie and I normally get Chewy Chips Ahoy! and this time, after seeing a commercial on Chips Ahoy! Middles. I knew that would be the next type of cookies I would get! Well, I got it and I love them! These delicious cookies are brought to us by Nabisco, which is branded by Christie in Canada. The Chips Ahoy! brand is one I’ve always been loyal to, and this is the reason why – they’re absolutely delicious!
Inside a box of these Christie’s Chip Ahoy! Middles are what appears to be normal Chip Ahoy! cookies – same shape, same size, same everything! But as you can tell by the name, there’s a special surprise in the center! It’s a decadent chocolatey center which is like tons of chocolate chips clustered together! At first, I thought it would be a fudge center, but this is just as good!
I’ve discovered that popping these wonderful cookies in the microwave for about 10 seconds warms it up and makes the chocolate just start to ooze. Any longer in the microwave however, the cookie begins to fall apart – as these are soft chewy cookies!
Ah, I was looking for a simple, quick and yummy snack, and I ran into one of my husbands favourite brands – Chef Boyardee and we found them in Mini Pasta Shells & Meatballs in Tomato Sauce and I have to admit, as much as I hate canned food, this was actually interesting!
I know this probably isn’t very healthy at all, but it really hits the spot when you’re looking for a hot bowl of something to eat! In fact, it reminds me a lot of Tim Hortons Beef Lasagna, which I really enjoyed as well. The preparation was just simply pop into the microwave until hot and enjoy! The meatballs were really tiny and it was just really cute with the mini pasta shells! Yes, the pasta is quite “soggy” and soaked in the tomato sauce, but it’s not bad for something out of a can!
This is a product I wouldn’t mind having at home, especially on days when I’m sick or I’m home alone! It’s convenient and actually delicious as I mentioned! You can find more information about Mini bites – Chef Boyardee
I’ve started to really like the brand Rocky Mountain Soap Company as they are natural products made in Canmore, Alberta.
I recently took a quick trip into the store and found their Holiday Features and I really like the Vanilla Candy Cane scent. I didn’t want more lotions or anything like that, but I was in need of a lip balm, so I purchased one in the vanilla candy cane scent.
The other holiday feature scent they had was Spicy Mandarin which I didn’t mind, but I just liked the vanilla much more. They have these two scents in many products from bath salts, body sugar scrubs to body butters. I really like their Rocky Mountain Soap Company body butters and other “butters” as they’re in a stick form which is great for applying – it decreases messy hands and it’s kind of fun as it’s like painting product on your skin.
I never did do a follow up post in regards to the Foot Butter that I was sampling. I guess I can say I’ve bought an actual full size and I use it daily! I put it on and then I put on my house socks. It’s especially nice in the winter when my feet are colder than usual, and drier!
Here’s the post of Rocky Mountain Soap Company I’m referring to! 🙂
